So many ink cartridges for the same style printers... this is probably an attempt by Dell to keep the aftermarket playing catchup to supply compatible remanufactured ink cartridges for newer Dell printer ink printers.
The Dell Series 21 ink cartridges are standard capacity for Dell printers including:
Now the higher capacity inkjet cartridges are the Dell Series 22 and Dell Series 24. Why do we need Series 22 and Series 24? Well, no good reason most likely other than what was mentioned above. Series 22 will only work in a few of the printers:
